meows from nick cage

Your eyes are not deceiving you. That is indeed a Nick Cage cat. This is what my face looks like after running around la and after my creepy boss does something creepy . My internship is finally reaching to an end, so I'll finally have a few days to wind down and catch up with my friends who I've been neglecting for the past month. I haven't felt this drained of energy since taking my last finals of my college life. So many events going on and I can't seem to keep up with everything. Ending college has been bittersweet. I've already had to say goodbye to three of my friends who have moved back to Japan, and another close friend of mine will be leaving for New York this week. On top of that, I received a call back from Delta, and in early July, I'll be working on another event with So followed by another in August. I'm both excited and nervous about all the opportunities that have dropped onto my lap since graduating. Hopefully the event that we've all worked so hard on runs smoothly this weekend. If not, you can expect another creepy Nicholas Cage cat. Meow

is that a....yes, yes it is

Since I'm stuck in the office all day for my internship, I haven't had much time to check out the many sales going on during the summer. Still meaning to catch the American Apparel Warehouse sale before it ends, but we'll see if I get out early one day to allot me time to go before all the goods are gone. To get to the point of this post, I got a lovely email today from Vivienne Westwood regarding their Sale and I wasn't able to check the website out until after work. Most of the stuff I want is gone, but the two gems above are still in stock. I can see why. I guess no one wants to wear a penis around their neck, do they? I already have a Vivienne Westwood Penis necklace from way back when they did the Vegas collection(complete with pink rhinestones) but I think these are much more....well, OBVIOUS. Right now, these are both around $80-$90, and I really do love them both. I'm digging the whole safety pin look of the right one. As I've learned from previous experience, Vivienne has further reductions in price as the sale comes towards an end. Hopefully, these will still be in stock and drop a bit more in price.

gold, gold, gold

I'm not one to wear bracelets on the daily, but I think these three gems that I ordered on ebay will stay on my wrists the whole summer. I've been lusting over the talon cuff from Pamela Love, but seeing as I can't throw down a grand for a bracelet, I did what any other broke girl would do. I turned to Ebay. All three of these beauties were purchased on ebay, for less than $13, total. I guess I was in a gold mood :) I'm seriously contemplating on getting the talon cuff in silver.

Some photos of stuff I ate and places I went to in the last weeks of May. Looks like I didn't do much. This internship is draining all of my time. My daily schedule = wake up at 6, drive to Gardena, carpool to LA (damn LA traffic), internship for the rest of the day, drive home, knock out, and the cycle repeats. I guess the good thing about the internship being in LA is that So and I were finally able to pop our Sprinkles cherry. And GOD was it delicious.

Stylenanda has always been a favorite online shopping site I frequent when looking for inspiration or just cheap clothes. So when I saw the price of these blatant UNIF copies I was utterly shocked. They got the design down to a T, but I really like how the original UNIF one looks worn out. I cant justify buying the Stylenanda one, but I know many would probably opt for the cheaper version for the sake of their wallet. SAD

Three items I am currently lusting over at the sale at the Outnet. First, Christopher Kane's gel-filled Pvc clutch. I've been eyeing this clutch ever since it came out, but couldn't justify paying 1,000 bucks for something I had had in my schoolbag back in elementary school. But with the sudden drop in price...I might reconsider. Vivienne Westwood. Oh how I love you. This Vivienne Westwood Anglomania plaid wool skirt is to die for. I have yet to own any of her clothing apart from my collection of jewelry from her. If I had to start somewhere, I'd probably start with this skirt. Last,T by Alexander Wang Jersey tank dress. I'm not one to wear dresses but I think this will look perfect with a chunky knit over it. I'll probably be spending the whole day at my internship to make up my mind about a possible splurge.

I haven't been this excited about a bag since the Alexander Wang Rocco (which I must shamefully admit to owning a replica. sorry. poor college student). Proenza Schouler's PS11 scores high on my never ending wishlist. I mean, just take a look at that buckle! Someone restrain me from using up my graduation money on this beauty!
